Rising 8th Grade Summer ReadingGrades 5-8 Battle of the Books InformationThe Battle of the Books is a fun reading competition for 5th grade and middle school students. Teams of students read a selected list of books and then compete by answering questions about the stories, characters, and plots. The goal is to encourage reading, teamwork, and a love for literature. It’s a great way for students to challenge themselves and show off their knowledge in a friendly competition. **Battle of the Books takes place during the 2nd quarter of the school year. Optionally reading any books this summer for Battle of the Books just gives students a head start and is in no way required!
