The drawings above are the concept of the two phases of the renovation plans.
Phase 1 will be a face-lift to the inside of our sanctuary and will create a sacristy behind the altar space for the servers to get dressed. A beautiful mural will be painted behind the new Altar of Sacrifice with a new Altar of Repose built into the mural. This mural will be like a window that draws us into the Heavenly Sacrifice at the altar. New stained glass, new wall wainscoting, new ambo, new floor finishes, new sound, and new lighting will also enhance the spirituality of our liturgies. Phase 1 will begin late June or early July 2023 and will be completed in time for our high Christmas Masses.
Approximate cost for Phase 1 is $2.1 million and is financed through money from the last capital campaign (One Family Rooted in Christ) and money from our operations savings. No capital campaign will be done to finance this project. However, any money donated toward this project will be greatly appreciated and will help to get closer to completing Phase 2 as well.
Phase 2 will add a choir loft, meeting space, and bell tower above our gathering area. Stairs and a small elevator are included in this project. The Gathering Area, bathrooms, and current sacristy will be redesigned to accomodate the stairs and elevator needed for Phase 2.
Approximate cost for Phase 2 is $3 million. This phase has no definite start date, as we do not have the funds to complete this project and currently do not wish to run a capital campaign.
