This ministry is offered to all children ages 4 to 6 during the 9:30 am Mass. Children arrive with their parents for Mass and join the assembly for the Introductory Rites. After the Opening Prayer, the children are dismissed to the Parish Hall with an Adult Leader and Youth Assistants; there they hear and discuss the Sunday Gospel, adapted for children, and participate in song/activity. The children rejoin their families after the Prayers of the Faithful for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Registration is not required for participation in this ministry. It is not mandatory nor is it a religious education class. It is a Celebration of the Word at a developmentally appropriate level. If you would like more information or would be interested in volunteering for this ministry, please contact Kim, Director of Youth Formation, in the parish office.
Little Flowers is a program for 1st-5th grade girls where they learn about different virtues by earning badges after completing different activities. These activities include lessons about different saints, games, art and singing. They meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:45 pm, typically in the Youth Room.
Offered each summer, this weeklong program relies entirely on adult and teen volunteers in the planning and implementation of the program with guidance from the Director of Religious Educa-tion. It is attended by both Catholic school and Religious Education students in preschool through grade 5 and is a fun way for kids to grow in their relationship with God and have fun playing games, doing crafts, and bonding with their peers. Anyone interested in being a member of the VBS planning team is encouraged to contact Kim, Director of Youth Formation.
