St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School has many opportunities for your stewardship of time and talent. Volunteers can help in classrooms, the lunchroom, and the library. Tutors are also welcomed.    

Religious Education

This ministry provides weekly religious education classes during the school year for children in the parish in grades preschool through 8 who do not attend Catholic school. With an average class size of 13 and a minmum of 2 catechists per class, many volunteer catechists are needed to support this ministry.  Adults, college, and high school students are invited to particpate. Other opportunities include: assisting children with special needs, office help, carpool, nursery, and hospitality.

Vacation Bible School

Offered each summer, this week-long program relies entirely on adult and teen volunteers in the planning and implementation of the program with guidance from the Director of Religious Education. The program is open to all children in the parish in pre-school through grade 5. Volunteers are welcomed and needed from middle school students through adults in order to offer Vacation Bible School at the parish.

Youth Sacramental Formation

This ministry supports special activities related to sacramental preparation for students in grades 1, 2, 6, 7, & 8 from both Catholic School and Religious Education. Volunteer opportunties include: planning, leading, office help, and hospitality.

 

 

 

Middle School Youth Group

The middle school youth group provides spiritual and social gatherings and activities for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. The group meets on a weekly basis during the school year and periodically in the summer months. Adults, high school, and college volunteers are needed to help plan and lead activities. 

High School Youth Ministry

High school youth ministry provides spiritual and social activities for students in grades 9-12. There are several groups within high school youth ministry. The main group is our High School Youth Group which meets on Sunday evenings throughout the year. In addition, we typically have Open Gym, Open Youth Room, and a service group, the Teen Leadership Team. Volunteers are needed to help plan events, supervise, lead groups, and provide meals.  

RCIA

Adults, teenagers, and children seeking to learn more about the Catholic faith participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) process. In RCIA, people are prepared to receive one or more the the following sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, and Reconciliation. Volunteers are always needed to serve as facilitators, catechists, sponsors, and to help with hospitality.

Bible Study

Bible Study and other adult education programs play an important role in the spirituality of our parish. Classes are offered throughout the year to enhance personal faith development and community building. Volunteers are needed to help plan and facilitate activities.
